Former NOMINON Bassist Explains His Departure
October 7, 2006Swedish death metallers NOMINON recently parted ways with their bass player of two years, Joel Andersson. Andersson has since issued the following statement regarding his departure:
"After two years of playing with NOMINON, it is now time for me to say goodbye... Playing with these guys was one of the best experiences of my life, and I have seen more than I ever thought I would. Yet due to things I can't control I have lost all motivation to continue playing... Thanks in advance for your help and support in what was a very hard decision to make."
NOMINON recently secured a deal with Singapore's Pulverised Records for the release of their collection of hard-to-get tracks, entitled "Remnants of a Diabolical History".
NOMINON's latest album, "Recremation", was issued last year via Konqueror Records (CD) and Blood Harvest Records (12-inch vinyl). The album was recorded and mixed at Necromorbus Studio in Stockholm with engineer Tore Stjerna. A video for the track "House of Flies" was shot during the band's European tour with VITAL REMAINS in September/October 2005.
